What is included in the professional fee?
Our fixed price professional fee is a one-time fee and covers all steps of the standard Queensland residential conveyancing process.
We will review your contract, follow up to ensure all contract obligations are met (ie finance, building and pest, special conditions etc), complete all necessary searches, liaise with the other parties’ solicitor, ensure all government charges have been paid, prepare and/or review your settlement statement and transfer documents, organise and attend settlement in Townsville and provide free over the phone and in person advice throughout the process.
Standard postage, photocopying and stationery costs are also included and no, we will not charge you extra for any delays such as building and pest negotiations, finance or settlement extensions that may be required to ensure your conveyance settles. Nor will we charge you a fee to witness documents required for your property conveyance.

Are there other charges that may apply?
If either buyer or seller of the property is a company we will complete a Company Search (add $22.10).
If your financier requires a Settlement Notice additional costs will apply. Please check with your financier to confirm any of their fees including bank cheque fees you may incur.

What if my property is not within the Townsville City Council area?
The prices quoted on this page are for properties governed by the Townsville City Council. As all Queensland councils set their own fees for rates searches a specific quote must be requested for areas outside of the Townsville City Council area. Check if your property is within the Townsville City Council area here.
Settlements outside of Townsville may incur a settlement agent fee.
