What is included in the professional fee?

Our fixed price professional fee is a one-time fee and covers all steps of the standard Queensland residential conveyancing process.

We will review your contract; follow up to ensure all contract obligations are met (ie finance, building and pest, special conditions etc); complete all necessary searches, liaise with the other parties’ solicitor; ensure all government charges have been paid; prepare and/or review your settlement statement and transfer documents; organise and attend settlement in Townsville; and provide free over the phone and in person advice throughout the process.

Standard postage, photocopying and stationery costs are also included and no, we will not charge you extra for any delays such as building and pest negotiations, finance or settlement extensions that may be required to ensure your conveyance settles.

What are the standard searches NQ Legal recommends?

At NQ Legal we recommend a standard suite of searches to ensure your legal interests are protected. The fees for these searches are set by search providers and at NQ Legal we do not charge you a mark-up or administration cost on these fees – ever. You can also request additional searches, however we recommend you contact us to discuss if they are required for your property conveyance.

What if my property is not within the Townsville City Council area?

NQ Legal provides Queensland wide residential conveyancing services, so regardless of which Queensland council area you are buying in we can help.

The prices detailed on our quotes pages are for properties within the Townsville City Council area and as all Queensland councils set their own fees for rates searches you will need to contact us so that we can provide you with a customised quote for areas outside of the Townsville City Council area.
